Sheet Cladding

Cladding is available in metal and man made sheet materials. Metals used for cladding include coated steel and aluminium, and the patinated metals such as copper and Cor-ten (copper steel alloy). Coated sheets are generally profiled for strength and are also available as composite panels with internal linings. Lead is also used for cladding roofs and walls.

Manmade materials are more diverse and often known by trade names -Trespa, Glasal etc. These are largely made by compressing inert materials together under high pressure

  • Euroclad -manufacturer of steel and aluminium profiled cladding systems
  • Indupart -makers of Structuran® and Decoran® pigmented glass Ceramic sheet.
  • Lindab -
  • Marley Eternit -manufacture a variety of lightweight, durable fibre cement cladding boards, including Glasal, Pelicolor, Natura and Multiclad.
  • Rockpanel -from Rockwool, a durable cladding manufactured from mineral
    wool fibres compressed under high pressure, that can be worked like wood.
  • Trespa -international manufacturer of high performance exterior and interior cladding panels -Meteon, Virtuon, Athlon and TopLab.
  • Wards -composite insulated steel and aluminium cladding panels -drab but informative website.
