Sustainability in the bathroom
generally comes down to two issues -saving water and recycling
of waste.
Saving water can be achieved
in new bathrooms by installing low volume flush toilets, but
there also ways of reducing the water consumption of existing
toilets. You can utlise a 'Save-a-Flush'
bag in the cistern (generally available through your local water
board), or a cruder but equally effective method is simply to
pop a brick in the cisterm. Similarly use patterns can impact
on your water usage -shower rather than bath, use the plugs on
basins and capture 'grey water'
